How to move your Wordpress site or blog to giganetwebhosting.com wordpress web hosting.
It is very easy to migrate your Wordpress site or Wordpress Blog and move all your previous wordpress content over to your barnd you web hosting account with us.
In just 4 easy steps and very quick and without problems this is how you do it.
1. Backup WordPress Files and Database
Install a wordpress backup plugin in your current wordpress site like All-in-One WP Migration or similar
We need to export all data/content from the old host so export the file that the plugin creates and download it to your computer.
2.Install wordpress to your giganetwebhosting.com account using softaculous.

3. Import your old wordpress site to the new wordpress installation.
Install the All-in-One WP Migration plugin to your new wordpress installation.
Note that if the domain name is not visible at our web space yet you need to use our temporary url that we sent you with the account instructions.
So first you need to do the following in order to be able to login to the new installation.
Configure WordPress to use temporary URL
To use your temporary URL with WordPress, simply install WordPress on the domain itself. Do not be concerned with the temporary URL yet.
Next you will need to locate the wp-config.php file in file manager in cPanel. The wp-config.php file will be located in the root folder where you initially installed WordPress.
Next, you will need to right-click on the file and select "code edit".
This will open the actual code of the file, and you will need to insert two lines of code to the top of the file to set your temporary URL as the way to access your WordPress installation.

Where "temporary url" use the tempoprary url you got with your account instructions that is the ipadress/username
Save the changes by clicking the "save change" button in the upper right corner.
Congratulation! You have successfully changed WordPress to use your Temporary URL.
4. Upload your wordpress site to new installation.
ReYou have successfully changed WordPress to use your Temporary URL. So you can now login to your new wordpress installation using this url.
Install the All-in-one wp migration plugin to the new installation and import the backup file you created earlier from your computer.
Done your wordpress site is migrated. Check the pages using the temopary URL to insure that all is ok.
Changing WordPress back to use your domain name
When you are done setting up and testing the your website using the temporary URL you will want to edit the wp-config.php file again and remove the code you placed into the file. Open the wp-config.php file with the code editor and replace your temporary url with your actual domain name.
Last step change the OLD nameservers with the NEW ones
Go to your domain registrar and change the dns records for your domain name.
Replace the old name servers with the new we have send you for your web hosting account.
You are done!
